Named after the colorful Mojave Desert flower and inspired by Joshua Tree hideouts, throwback roadside motels, and western nostalgia, Desert 5 Spot is the ultimate watering hole for country music lovers. Downstairs, we're slangin' classic Americana dishes, specialty cocktails, frozen margaritas, and cold beers, making this the perfect place where cowboys come together. Featuring daily live performances by emerging country artists and the Desert 5 All Stars band. Upstairs, it's bull rides, strong pours, DJ-spun country, line dancing lessons and a patio built for boot-stompin' under the stars. Desert 5 Spot welcomes one and all to leave their tensions and pretensions at the door, put on their boots, and let the good times roll. Position Summary Cocktail servers take orders and serve beverage orders, make recommendations, and process payments while providing excellent customer service. Duties & Responsibilities Greet guests in a positive and friendly manner and acknowledge all celebrations, anniversaries, birthdays, and other special notes that are specified. Ability to interact with guests to ensure guest satisfaction. Presents menus, answers questions, and makes suggestions for all food and beverage items. Coordinate with bar staff to ensure all availability of beverages. Enter all orders accurately into the POS system and follow proper cash/payment card procedures. Possess complete food and beverage knowledge of all products that are being served. Follow all proper cash/payment car procedures. The ability to up-sell and offer food and beverage suggestions to guests. Maintaining compliance with applicable health code, dress code, and other serving standards. Thoroughly check ID to ensure guests are of proper drinking age. All other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned production tasks including constant reaching, bending, stopping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time. Must be able to lifts up to 50 Ibs. Must be able to work and remain focused in a fast-paced environment. Skills/Experience Must at least be 21+ years of age. At least two (2) years 'of previous cocktail serving experience. Previous experience in a fast-paced environment. Actively contributes as a team player by being helpful/assisting when needed. Ability to deal with intoxicated guests in a positive and safe minded manner. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays when required.
