Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Lead Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the dining experience, ensuring exceptional guest service while leading and supporting our serving staff. Your expertise in food and beverage service, combined with your leadership skills, will help create memorable moments for our guests. The ideal candidate is passionate about food industry standards, possesses strong communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, fine dining environment. Responsibilities Lead and motivate the serving team to deliver outstanding guest service consistently. Manage table assignments, reservations via OpenTable, and coordinate service flow efficiently. Ensure all food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are strictly followed in compliance with health regulations. Upsell menu items and beverage options to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining genuine guest engagement. Oversee food preparation standards and assist kitchen staff when necessary to ensure timely delivery of orders. Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; perform cashiering duties with precision. Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and professionally, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas including bussing tables and assisting with food presentation. Collaborate with management on staff training, scheduling, and performance feedback to uphold high service standards. Qualifications Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or nightclub settings. Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus. Demonstrated culinary experience or kitchen familiarity to support food preparation and quality control efforts. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours. Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and relationship building. Ability to upsell menu items effectively while maintaining a positive attitude. Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques. Previous experience as a host/hostess or in serving roles that involve guest relations is advantageous. Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and inventory management.
