Host/Backwaiter

Job Summary We are looking for a friendly and energetic Host/Backwaiter to join our vibrant restaurant team. This role is all about creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for our guests while ensuring smooth service behind the scenes. As a key part of our hospitality crew, you'll be the first point of contact for guests, guiding them to their tables, managing reservations, and supporting the serving staff with timely table turnovers. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage seating arrangements efficiently to minimize wait times. Handle reservations and guest inquiries using POS system. Maintain a clean and organized host stand, ensuring all menus and reservation materials are readily available. Assist backwaiters and servers by clearing tables, resetting dining areas, and supporting food delivery when needed. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate guest service smoothly. Provide excellent guest relations by answering questions about menu options, specials, or restaurant policies. Uphold phone etiquette when taking reservations or answering guest inquiries over the phone. Requirements Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred. Strong communication skills to interact confidently with guests and team members. Experience in customer service, restaurant operations, or hotel guest services is beneficial. Ability to stay calm and professional during busy hours while maintaining a friendly demeanor. Familiarity with hospitality standards including guest relations, serving, and phone etiquette. A positive attitude with a willingness to learn about restaurant procedures and food service practices. Pay:

$16.00 - $22.50 per hour
