Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements, providing a welcoming first impression. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with the kitchen and bar staff. Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness. Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities. Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring a positive dining experience. Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems like OpenTable, while maintaining proper cash handling procedures. Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to food safety regulations, proper food handling, and sanitation protocols throughout service. Assist with bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure smooth operations. Use culinary knowledge to answer menu questions confidently and recommend pairings or specials when appropriate. Requirements Previous restaurant or food service experience, preferably in fine dining or upscale environments. Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that enhances guest experiences. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking seamlessly. Experience with upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities. Basic math skills for cash handling and bill splitting; attention to detail is essential. Familiarity with restaurant operations including serving, bussing, host/hostess duties, and kitchen support roles is preferred.
