As a Lead Server at Burnt Pine Golf Club, you'll have the opportunity to work in an upscale country club setting while building meaningful relationships with members and guests. SummaryThe Lead Server is responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences while providing leadership and support to the service team at Burnt Pine Country Club. This position serves as a role model for service excellence, assists with daily operations, helps train and mentor team members, and ensures members and guests receive attentive, personalized service in a professional and welcoming environment.

Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesLead by example in providing outstanding food and beverage service.

Welcome and engage with members and guests to ensure a memorable dining experience.

Assist with opening and closing duties, side work, and daily service preparation.

Coordinate service flow and communicate effectively with kitchen and management teams.

Support training and onboarding of new servers and server assistants.

Monitor service standards and assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Handle member and guest concerns professionally and promptly.

Accurately enter orders, process payments, and maintain cash-handling procedures.

Assist with special events, tournaments, banquets, and member functions as needed.

Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, daily specials, beverages, and club promotions.

Uphold all company policies, health regulations, and service standards.

QualificationsPrevious serving experience required; leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Fine dining, country club, resort, or upscale hospitality experience preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Professional appearance and positive attitude.

Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.

Alcohol service certification or ability to obtain certification as required.

Physical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods, often for the duration of a shift.

Ability to frequently bend, stoop, reach, kneel, and lift.

Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally with assistance.

Ability to transport food trays, beverage containers, service equipment, and supplies safely.

Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

May be required to provide food and beverage service poolside, including walking extended distances and working in heat, humidity, sun exposure, and other outdoor conditions.

Ability to maintain a high level of energy and professionalism during busy service periods.

Must be able to safely navigate stairs, uneven surfaces, and crowded service areas.
