Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in providing exceptional food service in an assisted living environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that residents receive nutritious and appetizing meals while adhering to food safety and dietary guidelines. This position requires strong time management skills and a commitment to customer service. Duties Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences. Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards during food handling and preparation. Bus tables and clean dining areas promptly after meals to maintain a tidy environment. Support the dietary department in inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal delivery and address any resident concerns regarding food service. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and work areas, following all safety protocols. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with residents during meal times, ensuring their needs are met. Requirements Previous experience in a dietary department or food service setting is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential. Strong time management skills to efficiently complete tasks within designated timelines. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on resident satisfaction. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift light loads, and perform various kitchen tasks as needed. A passion for working in an assisted living environment, contributing positively to the well-being of residents.
