Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and personable Server to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the face of our restaurant, creating memorable dining experiences for our guests through attentive service, expert food and beverage knowledge, and a positive attitude. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will help foster a warm atmosphere that keeps guests coming back. Duties Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of menu items to enhance their dining experience Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems , ensuring timely delivery Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales while maintaining guest satisfaction Serve food and drinks efficiently, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards Assist with food handling, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining area Manage guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally Process payments accurately through cash handling or cashiering systems like OpenTable, ensuring proper math calculations Requirements Previous restaurant or food service experience, preferably in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence Ability to handle food safely, including proper sanitation and food preparation practices Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy Knowledge of food industry standards including food safety regulations and sanitation protocols Experience with culinary or kitchen environments is advantageous but not required Must be able to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods; flexibility to work nights and weekends Join us at Rustica where your passion for hospitality meets the opportunity to create unforgettable dining moments!
