Food Runner

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and with exceptional service. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and servers to enhance the dining experience. Responsibilities Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area efficiently and accurately. Assist in setting up tables and maintaining cleanliness throughout the restaurant. Collaborate with servers to ensure timely service and address any guest needs. Help with bussing tables and resetting them for new guests. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding food preparation and special requests. Adhere to food handling safety standards to ensure guest satisfaction. Support culinary staff during peak hours by assisting in food preparation as needed. Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred. Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of food handling practices and culinary basics is advantageous. Must be able to lift and carry trays of food, as well as stand for extended periods. A positive attitude, teamwork mentality, and willingness to help others are essential for success in this role.
