This role is essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while ensuring prompt and efficient service. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and experience in food service environments. This position offers an opportunity to develop guest relations skills and gain valuable experience in the hospitality industry. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage seating arrangements to optimize flow and guest satisfaction Take reservations and manage waitlists using POS systems such as Toast Deliver food orders from the kitchen to tables promptly, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are maintained Assist servers with clearing tables and resetting for new guests Provide attentive guest service, addressing questions or concerns with professionalism and courtesy Maintain cleanliness of host/guest areas, including waiting areas and dining spaces Handle phone inquiries with proper phone etiquette, providing information about the restaurant and reservation policies Support overall guest relations by creating a welcoming environment and ensuring positive dining experiences Qualifications Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not required Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with guests and team members Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Toast is a plus Excellent guest service skills, including hospitality, guest relations, and phone etiquette Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail Knowledge of restaurant operations, serving procedures, and hospitality standards is advantageous A friendly demeanor, positive attitude, and team-oriented mindset are essential for success in this role
