POSITION OBJECTIVE

Provides exceptional customer service and genuine hospitality to guests by describing menu items, assisting guests in making food and beverage selections, take and place orders and deliver food and beverages.

ESSENTIALS

Follow service standards and best practices at all times. Provide the highest quality guest/teammate interactions - be pleasant, friendly and polite to everyone. Greet guests when entering the restaurant with a pleasant smile and superior customer service. Have full knowledge of all menus and beverage menus. Multi-task several guests and duties at once, maintaining the highest levels of service. Take orders and answer questions/offer suggestions on menu selections. Communicate with culinary team regarding meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs and special requests. Enter in orders into the computer (MICROS) ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Prepare beverages quickly and efficiently, following written and visual standards. Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverage. Present accurate check to guest and process payment. Proper setup and breakdown of work areas and service stations. Keep work area neat and clean. Clean floors, walls and deep clean work area as required. Have full knowledge and certification in responsible alcohol service. Have full knowledge and certification in safe food handling practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

Prior serving and cash handling experience preferred. Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task. Able to stand and walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift. Able to work in tight quarters with other people. Able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50lbs without assistance. Able to walk, sit, stand, squat and reach in the course of daily business. Able to work flexible shifts including weekends, and holidays.
