Portion and plate meals accurately behind the serving line, following standardized guidelines to ensure consistency in servings. Operate the cash register efficiently, selecting the correct buttons to accurately reflect each customer's order (button accountability) and maintain financial accuracy Maintain a clean and organized serving station, adhering to Pepi Foods Gold Standard kitchen expectations (clean, labeled, and organized) Monitor serving line inventory (e.g., plates, utensils, napkins) and communicate restocking needs to the Dining Center Manager Assist with light prep or restocking tasks during slower periods to support kitchen operations as directed Adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards, including HACCP guidelines, to ensure safe handling and serving of food Your opportunity/benefits... Physical Demands:
Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling up to 50lbs (
  • 20%) of the time Frequent standing/walking/climbing (
  • 95%)of the time Frequent reaching/handling/feeling (
  • 75%) of the time Frequent use of finger dexterity (+75%) of the time.
Stand and work in a kitchen for 8-10 hours
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training is a bonus but not required. Food Handler's Certification (e.g., ServSafe Food Handler) required within 30 days of hire.
Experience:
At least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing or cashier role preferred, ideally in a food service setting. Experience with portioning food or operating a point-of-sale system is a plus.
