As a key member of our restaurant, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding service, managing food and beverage orders efficiently, and ensuring guest satisfaction from the moment they arrive until their departure. Your role is vital in fostering a welcoming atmosphere that keeps guests coming back and elevates our reputation for fine dining excellence. Duties Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of dishes and beverages to enhance their dining experience Take accurate food and drink orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery Upsell menu items and specials to increase sales while maintaining genuine guest engagement Serve food and beverages with professionalism, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and providing personalized service in a fast-paced environment Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments through POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms Assist with food handling, sanitation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff when necessary to maintain smooth operations Qualifications Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or nightclub settings Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for order processing and sales management Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally Culinary experience or background in food preparation is a plus for understanding menu items thoroughly Demonstrated time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures Experience with upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and billing purposes Previous host/hostess or serving experience preferred; familiarity with restaurant operations including bussing and guest relations is advantageous Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and nights as required in a dynamic hospitality environment Join us to deliver exceptional service that delights every guest!
