Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements using reservation systems such as OpenTable or similar platforms. Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS to ensure seamless transactions. Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend popular dishes and beverages, and upsell items to enhance the guest experience. Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation. Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their visit, promptly addressing any concerns or special requests to ensure an outstanding dining experience. Clear tables promptly and efficiently, bussing as needed to maintain cleanliness and readiness for new guests. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation times and ensure timely delivery of orders. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments through POS systems. Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu items, including ingredients for allergy awareness and food handling procedures. Assist with opening or closing duties as required, ensuring compliance with sanitation standards and restaurant policies. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles, particularly in fine dining or nightlife environments such as nightclubs or upscale bars. Proficiency with POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms; experience with OpenTable is a plus. Strong culinary knowledge complemented by food industry experience; familiarity with food preparation and food safety standards is highly desirable. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and handle diverse customer needs professionally. Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy service hours while maintaining attention to detail. Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities. Knowledge of food handling, sanitation practices, and basic math skills for accurate cash handling and billing. Experience working in a fast-paced environment such as a nightclub or restaurant setting is preferred. Basic math skills for processing payments accurately; cashiering experience is beneficial.
