JOB OVERVIEW
Serve guests in a professional and friendly manner while attending to their needs promptly and courteously to ensure guest satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Attend to guest at their table or the counter, informing them of daily specials, taking orders, serving food, clearing tables and preparing their bill. Prepare and serve beverages and ensure that the car and coolers are adequately stocked. Maintain a clean and orderly workspace and dining area. Keep all condiment containers clean and filled. Receive and visually inspect guest check for any inaccuracies, then close the check to the proper method of payment. Assist in food preparation as required. Perform general cleaning task using standard hotel cleaning products, as assigned to adhere to health standards. Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests. Perform all side work to include replenishing condiments and restocking kitchen shelves with supplies. Perform other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
