This is NOT a passive food runner position. The Expo controls the flow of the dining experience. You are the communication bridge between the kitchen and front of house. You actively track ticket times, table flow, appetizer timing, entrée pacing, garnish execution, and overall guest experience. You do not stand at the window waiting for food — you own the window and lead the pace of service. Thisrole requires confidence, urgency, leadership, organization, strong communication skills, and a genuine love for food and hospitality. Responsibilities Control and coordinate table flow sequence Track all ticket times and pacing Communicate clearly and confidently with cooks and servers Ensure appetizers and entrées leave at the proper timing Organize trays and complete tables accurately Garnish entrées and maintain presentation standards Chop salads and maintain small salad station Memorize the full menu, ingredients, and plating Maintain, cleanliness, consistency, and professionalism during high-volume service Must have reliable transportation to work Ability to lift 40lbs Qualifications Previous expo, food runner, or restaurant line experience required Strong voice and communication skills Natural leadership without being aggressive or bossy Highly organized and detail-oriented Able to multitask under pressure Passion for food and guest experience Reliable transportation and strong attendance Must know exact availability before applying.
