Server/Cashier

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Server/Cashier, where you will be the friendly face that enhances our guests' dining experience! This energetic role combines the art of exceptional customer service with efficient cash handling and POS (Point of Sale) operations. You'll play a vital part in creating a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met, and driving sales through upselling and guest engagement. Whether taking orders, serving delicious dishes, or processing transactions, your enthusiasm and attention to detail will contribute to a memorable dining experience for every guest. Duties Greet guests warmly, provide menu recommendations, and take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS. Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and hospitality. Handle cash, credit card transactions, and process payments efficiently with accuracy and integrity. Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests. Ensure food safety standards are followed during food handling, preparation assistance, and service. Assist with reservations and guest relations using platforms like OpenTable to optimize seating flow during busy hours. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings. Support team members with food prep or basic kitchen tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations. Promote a positive guest experience by providing attentive service, addressing concerns promptly, and fostering guest relations. Qualifications Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS, or similar platforms. Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations confidently. Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures. Experience with upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities. Excellent time management skills to manage multiple tables or orders efficiently during busy periods.
