Overview Join our dynamic team as an Expo/Food Runner and become a vital link in delivering exceptional dining experiences! In this energetic role, you will serve as the bridge between the kitchen and front-of-house, ensuring that food reaches guests promptly, accurately, and beautifully presented. Responsibilities Efficiently deliver prepared food from the kitchen to tables or designated areas, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met. Communicate clearly with kitchen staff and servers to coordinate timely food service and address any special requests or modifications. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including plating or garnishing dishes to uphold quality standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation protocols. Support bussing duties by clearing empty plates and resetting tables swiftly to maximize guest turnover. Use POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders or assist with guest transactions when required. Uphold excellent guest service by being attentive, approachable, and responsive to customer needs throughout their dining experience. Skills Proven experience in food service, restaurant operations, or hospitality environments. Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations. Familiarity with restaurant POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus. Prior banquet service, catering, or hotel experience is advantageous. Strong communication skills for effective coordination with team members and guests. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Basic culinary knowledge including food preparation, plating techniques, and kitchen safety standards.
