In this lively role, you will be the key to ensuring smooth service, delivering delicious food and beverages with a smile, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere. Duties Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of menu items to enhance guest experience. Take accurate orders using Toast POS system ensuring special requests and dietary needs are clearly communicated. Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness. Upsell menu items and wine or cocktail pairings to maximize sales and elevate guest satisfaction. Manage tables effectively by monitoring guest needs, refilling drinks, bussing tables promptly, and ensuring a seamless dining flow. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and delivery, maintaining communication for timely service. Uphold sanitation standards by adhering to food handling regulations and restaurant cleanliness protocols. Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and professionally, creating a welcoming environment in both fine dining settings and lively nightlife venues. Experience Previous restaurant experience in food service or hospitality roles preferred; fine dining or pizzeria is a plus. Familiarity with Toast POS system is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques. Proven ability in upselling techniques to increase sales while providing excellent customer service. Excellent time management skills to juggle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours. Must be reliable, friendly and professional.
