Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented Server to join our team. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing excellent guest service and ensuring customer satisfaction. Your primary duties will include taking food and drink orders, serving meals, and handling cash transactions.Duties:
- Greet guests and provide them with menus
- Take food and drink orders accurately and promptly
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner
- Ensure guests have everything they need throughout their dining experience
- Answer questions about menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods
- Upsell additional menu items or specials to increase sales
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate and timely order delivery
- Process cash, credit, or debit card payments using a cash register or POS system
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Experience:
- Previous experience in the food industry or as a server is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with cash register operations is a plus
- Knowledge of guest service principles and practices
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations and culinary terminology is beneficial
- Ability to handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
