Position Summary As a Server at Starfish Sushi, you will be the face of our restaurant, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests while delivering outstanding service. You will engage with customers throughout their dining experience, accurately take and serve orders, and ensure guest satisfaction from start to finish. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for hospitality. Key Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and assist with seating in a professional and courteous manner. Present menus and make knowledgeable recommendations on food and beverage offerings. Take orders accurately and enter them into the point-of-sale system. Serve food and drinks timely and ensure tables are properly set and maintained. Check in with guests regularly to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns. Process payments, handle cash transactions, and close out checks efficiently. Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth communication and service flow. Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including resetting tables and assisting with sidework as needed. Demonstrate product knowledge and answer menu questions regarding sushi offerings and ingredients. Qualifications Prior experience as a server or similar customer service role preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for handling transactions. Familiarity with POS and reservation systems (e.g., Aloha, OpenTable) is a plus. Knowledge of sushi and Japanese cuisine is helpful but not required. Must be able to stand, walk, and carry trays/tabs as required during shifts.

Work Schedule & Compensation Pay:

$20.00 - $45.00 per hour (depending on experience and tips).
