Overview Join our vibrant team as a Part-Time Weekend Server and bring your passion for exceptional hospitality to life! As a key member of our service team, you'll engage with guests, showcase your food and beverage knowledge, and create a welcoming atmosphere that keeps guests coming back. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and assist them with seating arrangements, ensuring a positive first impression. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and relay orders efficiently to the kitchen. Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend specials, and upsell items to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation. Manage guest relations by addressing questions or concerns professionally, ensuring complete satisfaction throughout their visit. Handle cash and credit transactions accurately using POS systems like OpenTable or cashiering tools; process payments swiftly. Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to maintain cleanliness and efficiency. Requirements Previous restaurant or food service experience, particularly in fine dining or upscale environments. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms. Strong knowledge of food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety protocols. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally. Ability to manage time effectively during busy weekend shifts; multitask seamlessly in a fast-paced setting. Experience with OpenTable reservations system or similar guest management tools is a plus. Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy; previous cashiering experience is advantageous. Knowledge of wine service, upselling techniques, and fine dining etiquette is preferred.
