Job Description

Server/hospitality specialist
Compensation:
$3.00 per hour plus tips
Employment Type:
•At this time we are only looking to fill opening shifts Monday through Friday; shift start time would be 6am and shift end will vary from noon-3pm. Full Time/PT 10-36 hrs/wk Multiple Positions Available Weekends are a MUST!
Hours of Operation:
7 am - 3 pm daily (Special events will offer night time hour availability) 4 pm - 8 pm
Friday Shift Availability Schedule:
Shift start and end times may vary based on prep and closing duties As a hospitality member associated with The Toast cafe, you will play a crucial role in providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Your primary responsibilities will include welcoming guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that every guest feels valued and well taken care of. A commitment to hospitality and outstanding customer service is essential for this role. : 1.
Greeting and Seating Guests:
Warmly welcome guests as they arrive Escort guests to their tables and follow proper seating operations as outlined in training. Provide information on daily specials and restaurant features. 2.
Taking Orders:
Accurately take food and beverage orders from guests. Answer questions about menu items, dietary restrictions, allergens and special requests. Upsell additional products when appropriate. 3.
Serving Food and Beverages:
Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely and efficient manner. Ensure orders are accurate and meet quality standards. Perform table-side service, such as preparing specialty dishes or drinks. 4.
Guest Interaction and Satisfaction:
Check on guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction. Address and resolve any guest complaints or concerns promptly and. professionally, management is to be made aware of and involved with any issue. Provide personalized service to enhance the guest experience. 5.
Maintaining Cleanliness and Organization:
Keep the dining area clean and presentable at all times. Clear and reset tables promptly after guests leave. Complete or assist with side work, such as any prep duties, refilling condiments, stocking supplies, and cleaning service areas. 6.
Payment Processing:
Present guests with their bills and process payments. Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately. Provide change and receipts to guests. 7.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery. Assist fellow servers and other staff members during busy periods. Participate in team meetings and training sessions. 8. Adhering to
Health and Safety Standards:
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines. Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment. Comply with all restaurant policies and procedures. : Previous experience serving in a restaurant or hospitality setting is required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. A friendly and positive attitude. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be 19 and older Reliable transportation Reliable communication via cell phone Display a neat, clean, professional appearance Customer service experience required 2 years of food service experience required High School Diploma or equivalent Current liquor serving license/ServSafe Food handlers certificate Satisfactory completion of job-specific skills assessment Experience with Toast POS is a plus : A genuine passion for providing outstanding customer service. A team player with a collaborative spirit. Ability to anticipate guests' needs and provide personalized service. Eagerness to learn and grow within the hospitality industry.
