Responsibilities Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and provide expert recommendations to enhance their dining experience Take accurate food and beverage orders Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction Manage tables effectively by pre-bussing, resetting, and maintaining a clean dining area throughout service Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while balancing registers at shift end Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation, food safety compliance, and proper food handling procedure Maintain excellent guest relations by addressing inquiries promptly, resolving issues professionally, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere Support sanitation standards by adhering to proper food safety practices and sanitation protocols in all food service activities Requirements Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude and the ability to engage guests effectively Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and sales upselling techniques Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed in a fast-paced environment Experience in serving or host/hostess roles is beneficial; background in the food industry or hospitality is highly valued Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure smooth service flow
