Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival, manage reservations using OpenTable or similar systems, and seat guests efficiently to minimize wait times. Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems, ensuring special requests are noted and communicated clearly to the kitchen. Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities. Provide attentive guest service by answering questions about menu options, dietary restrictions, and wine pairings while maintaining a friendly demeanor. Assist with food handling, bussing tables, and maintaining sanitation standards to ensure a clean and safe environment for both guests and staff. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting overall restaurant operations during busy nights or events like nightclub evenings. Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering duties and processing payments efficiently. Qualifications Previous experience as a server or host/hostess in a fast-paced restaurant environment is preferred. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills with a passion for hospitality and guest relations. Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Experience in fine dining or food industry settings is a plus; culinary experience or kitchen background is advantageous. Excellent communication skills, basic math proficiency for cashiering and check splitting, and a professional appearance.
