Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and specials. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring timely communication with the kitchen and bar staff. Upsell menu items and beverage options to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities. Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation. Manage guest needs throughout their dining experience, including checking in on tables, handling special requests, and resolving any issues promptly. Process payments accurately through POS systems like OpenTable or cash handling procedures, including basic math calculations for bills and tips. Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold sanitation standards and guest comfort. Taking and transporting room service orders up to guest suites Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings. Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS, or similar platforms; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and handle guest relations professionally. Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy service hours. Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining a positive attitude. Experience with food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations. Background in culinary arts or kitchen experience is advantageous for understanding food preparation processes.
