Part Time/ On Call The Bruce Convention Center is looking for the following position: Part Time/On Call Servers - $12.00/Hr Summary As a Banquet Server, you will be essential in delivering outstanding service during events and catering functions. Reporting to the Banquet Manager, your core skills in food service, banquet experience, and customer service will ensure guests enjoy a memorable dining experience. Your premium skills in hospitality and guest relations will enhance interactions, while relevant skills in food preparation and restaurant experience will support efficient operations. Qualifications Proven banquet experience in food service and catering environments Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations Knowledge of food handling and safety protocols Experience in food preparation and restaurant settings Background in hospitality, with an emphasis on guest services Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of service
Responsibilities:
The following is a list of server responsibilities: ▪ Server is to maintain an attitude of respect while serving our customers. ▪ Provide customers with water, coffee, or tea as needed and remove dishes from the table as required (make sure to clean up any spills as soon as it happens). ▪ Strip tables and buffets following events (with staff), making sure all materials are properly placed for cleaning and storage ▪ Maintain a professional appearance at all times suitable for interaction with clients (see dress code below) ▪ Fill/clean sugar caddies and salt and pepper shakers ▪ Polish silver ▪ Clean coffee and tea area ▪ Clean back hall and any area that needs frequent cleaning
