Known as a gathering place of friends where good manners and social graces are cherished, our club offers a refined and welcoming environment for both staff and guests. Job Summary As a Server/Banquet Server, you will be the face of exceptional hospitality, delivering outstanding service in both our fine dining and banquet settings. Your energetic and attentive approach will ensure every guest feels valued, while your expertise in food service and customer relations helps create memorable experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a distinguished setting that celebrates tradition, elegance, and exceptional service. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Jonas, ensuring efficient communication with kitchen staff Serve food and drinks promptly, maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities Assist with setting up banquet events, including arranging tables, linens, and serving stations to ensure a seamless event flow Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning service areas, and adhering to food safety protocols. Requirements Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or banquet experience Familiarity with POS systems such as Jonas; knowledge of OpenTable is a plus Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor Ability to manage time effectively during busy service periods Knowledge of food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is advantageous but not required Excellent communication skills and guest relations abilities Ability to stand for extended periods and work flexible hours including evenings and weekends Join our team at the Pendennis Club where your dedication to hospitality will be celebrated!
