Job Description
Fine Dining Server Position Summary The Fine Dining Server provides exceptional food and beverage service to club members and their guests in a refined dining environment. This role is responsible for delivering personalized, attentive, and professional service that reflects the Metairie Country Club's standards of excellence while fostering strong relationships with members through consistent hospitality and discretion. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide warm, professional, and personalized service to members and guests throughout the dining experience. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of menu offerings, daily specials, ingredients, preparation methods, and wine and beverage selections. Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them efficiently to the kitchen and bar staff. Serve food and beverages according to established fine dining service standards. Anticipate member needs and respond promptly to requests with a high level of attention to detail. Maintain knowledge of member preferences to enhance the personalized service experience. Set, maintain, and clear tables according to club standards. Ensure dining areas are clean, organized, and presentation-ready at all times. Assist with private events, banquets, wine dinners, holiday functions, and special club events as needed. Process member charges accurately and follow all club billing procedures. Collaborate with culinary, bar, and management teams to ensure seamless service. Uphold all health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations. Handle member concerns professionally and escalate issues appropriately when necessary. Qualifications Previous fine dining, upscale restaurant, luxury hotel, or private club service experience preferred. Strong knowledge of food, wine, cocktails, and dining etiquette. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Professional appearance and demeanor. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining service standards. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry trays weighing up to 30 pounds. Frequent bending, reaching, and carrying of food and beverage items.
