A restored Art Deco hotel just steps from the New Orleans French Quarter, The Barnett offers an authentic New Orleans experience with curated events, live music, and standout food and beverage. Its versatile meeting and event spaces, combined with proximity to the Caesars Superdome, create an engaging environment for hospitality professionals serving both business and leisure travelers. Housed in a historic 19th century Creole townhome built in 1832, Seaworthy showcases wild-caught, sustainably harvested oysters from American waters—including the Gulf Coast, East Coast, and West Coast—alongside locally sourced fish and game. Part of The Barnett Hotel, we are looking for server support for the Seaworthy team. SUMMARY The Food Runner is responsible for supporting servers in carrying beverages and meal items to designated tables. Duties include communicating with Servers to determine their needs, carrying food items from the expediting counter to the right table and helping with cleanup duties after the conclusion of service to turn the table for the next guest and to assist with closing responsibilities.
CORE FOCUS & ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Qualified candidates must be able to satisfactorily complete the following responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned. Bring dishes to appropriate guests Ensure guests have appropriate utensils for each dish. Maintain par levels of utensils and condiments. Maintain current and accurate knowledge of the menu. Assist expo in managing completion of tickets. Maintain constant knowledge of each table's progress in the sequence of service. Remain in constant communication with servers; know each server's assigned section. Perform side-work as needed.

Other language, mathematical, and reasoning abilities as outlined below. Ability to comply with physical demands as outlined below. Knowledge and understanding of HRI Culture & initiatives. Must be able to maintain a flexible work schedule. Must be available weekends and holidays Candidate must meet the following cognitive abilities: Ability to understand guests' service needs & requests. Ability to acknowledge guests' requests in a polite manner. Ability to clearly communicate in verbal and written English (additional foreign languages are encouraged and preferred). Ability to apply logical thinking and understanding to carry out written and oral instructions. Ability to address and solve problems involving guest and operational issues.
