In this role, you will provide outstanding hospitality, guide guests through our sushi and Japanese cuisine offerings, and create memorable dining experiences. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems Educate guests on sushi selections, specialty rolls, sashimi, nigiri, and daily chef specials Upsell premium sushi items, specialty beverages, and desserts to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation Ensure timely delivery of orders and coordinate with sushi chefs and kitchen staff Manage guest inquiries, accommodate dietary restrictions, and resolve concerns promptly Assist with table maintenance, bussing, and restaurant cleanliness as needed Process payments accurately and handle cash and credit transactions responsibly Maintain a clean, organized dining room and service station in compliance with health and safety standards Skills Previous restaurant, food service, or hospitality experience preferred Strong customer service skills with a positive, energetic attitude Ability to learn and communicate menu knowledge, including sushi ingredients and preparation methods Familiarity with POS systems; experience with restaurant reservation platforms is a plus Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction Basic math skills for cash handling and payment processing Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support fellow staff members Join our team and help create unforgettable sushi dining experiences through exceptional service, hospitality, and passion for Japanese cuisine!
