Counter person/server

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Counter Person to join our team in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while efficiently managing food preparation and sales transactions. This position requires a strong focus on food safety, sanitation, and maintaining a clean workspace. Duties Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately. Prepare food items according to established recipes and standards. Operate Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for processing transactions. Upsell menu items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area, including bussing tables as needed. Handle cash transactions responsibly, ensuring accurate cash handling practices. Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining experience. Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as necessary. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving any issues promptly. Skills Previous experience in food preparation or culinary roles is preferred. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Proven sales skills with an emphasis on upselling techniques. Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with patrons. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Experience in quick service or fast food restaurant settings is beneficial. Understanding of sanitation standards and kitchen operations.
