Presenting menus and providing recommendations:
Being knowledgeable about menu items, specials, ingredients, and potential allergens to answer questions and offer helpful suggestions.
Taking and entering orders:
Accurately noting food and beverage orders and using point-of-sale (POS) systems to relay them to the kitchen and bar staff.
Serving food and beverages:
Delivering orders promptly and ensuring that meals and drinks meet quality and presentation standards. Checking in with guests and addressing needs: Regularly monitoring tables to ensure guest satisfaction, refilling drinks, providing extra items, and promptly addressing any concerns or complaints with a positive attitude. Maintaining table and dining area cleanliness: Clearing dirty dishes, wiping down tables, resetting settings, and contributing to the overall tidiness of the dining room.
Processing payments:
Handling guest checks accurately, processing cash and credit card payments, and returning change or receipts. Collaborating with kitchen and bar staff: Working effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth service and timely order delivery.
