Server Mango Grove Indian Restaurant 8865 Stanford Boulevard, Columbia, MD 21045 From $700 a week - Full-time From $700 a week - Full-time Overview Join our dynamic team as a Server and become the heart of an exceptional dining experience! In this lively role, you'll deliver outstanding guest service, craft memorable moments, and ensure every guest feels welcomed and valued. Your energy, attention to detail, and culinary knowledge will contribute to creating a vibrant atmosphere where guests want to return again and again. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your hospitality skills in a fast-paced, rewarding environment committed to excellence. Duties Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and provide detailed descriptions of food and beverage options Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and desserts to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales Process transactions efficiently with cash handling, credit card processing, and sales transaction management Maintain knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation protocols, and proper food handling procedures Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any guest concerns swiftly Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and supporting host/hostess duties as needed to ensure smooth service flow Requirements Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred; fine dining experience is a plus Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking seamlessly Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and food industry standards Experience in food preparation, food safety practices, and sanitation protocols Basic math skills for cash handling and sales transactions; attention to detail is essential Culinary or kitchen experience is beneficial but not required; a passion for hospitality is key Join us to deliver memorable experiences through exceptional service!
