Job Description

Job Overview The Food Runner is responsible for delivering food from the kitchen to guests and quickly and accurately portioning and sharing dishes as needed. This role supports both front-of-house and kitchen operations to ensure smooth service and a positive dining experience. The Food Runner plays a key role in maintaining efficiency, presentation, and guest satisfaction. Responsibilities Deliver food orders from the kitchen to the correct tables in a timely manner Assist with portioning, plating, and sharing dishes according to restaurant standards Ensure all plates are properly garnished and presented before leaving the kitchen Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure order accuracy Assist in expediting orders during busy periods Explain dishes briefly when serving, including shared plates if needed Clear tables and assist with resetting them when needed Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines Support team members to ensure smooth and efficient service Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous restaurant experience is a plus, especially in fast-paced or shared-plate environments Ability to work in a fast-paced setting Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to carry multiple plates and stand for extended periods Attention to detail, especially with food presentation and portioning Positive attitude and willingness to learn Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
