Full Job Description Job Description Position Summary :

Duties include, but not limited to serving food to residents who take meals in the residence dining rooms, bus tables, wash dishes and maintain kitchen sanitation stations.

Essential Job Responsibilities :

Communicates menu and alternate option to residents. Serves food and beverages according to residence serving procedures. Clears dishes from table as needed during meal service. Responds to resident suggestions and/or requests. Maintains courteous, helpful demeanor at all times. Relays pertinent information to Food Service Director, Dietary Supervisor or Cook. Cleans, sanitizes and resets dining rooms in preparation for next meal. Takes resident meal orders and assures they are served in a timely manner. Responds to residents emergencies. Passes water to residents rooms at prescribed times. Washes all dishes and ensures that all dishes are clean, dry and stowed properly. Ensure that dish machine and three compartment sink are sanitizing properly and logs all necessary information on proper logs. Washes, dries and folds all linens as needed to be ready for next meal service. Encourages resident to attend meals in the dining rooms, escorts resident to and from the dining room if needed. Assists residents with meals in way that meet their individual needs and desires, observes and reports changes in the resident's appetite and physical abilities to eat and drink. Maintains strict adherence to the employee dress code. Practices proper body mechanics when lifting and follows safety guidelines according to residence polices and procedures. Practices safety in working around and with equipment, chemicals, tools and utensils.

Standards :

The needs of the residents always comes first unless there is a conflict with the needs of others or the organization a whole. Employees will not work under the influence of mood-altering or illegal drugs or alcohol. Neat appearance, adherence to the dress code and good personal hygiene are expected.
