Unlike many traditional food service roles, the Dining Services Attendant position at Interlochen offers a balanced schedule and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employee wellbeing. Collaborate with our talented culinary team to prepare and present delectable meals that delight the senses and nourish the soul. Greet, assist, and engage with students, faculty, and guests, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that fosters community and connection. Contribute to the seamless setup and arrangement of the cafeteria, ensuring a comfortable and inviting space for dining. This includes arranging salad bars, counters, beverages, hot wells, and more. Collaborate with dining management to receive daily tasks and assignments, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences. Thoroughly understand menu items and their ingredients, paying meticulous attention to allergens and dietary restrictions to provide a safe dining experience for all. Responsible for preparing and opening the dining area each shift, ensuring readiness and inviting atmosphere for guests. Facilitate smooth operation of service lines, assisting guests and maintaining a steady flow during meal times. Adhere to strict food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the health and well-being of all guests. Actively engage with guests, providing information about menu items, specials, and answering any questions to enhance their dining experience. Maintains order, cleanliness, and flow of the dining area at all times throughout and in between the meals. Maintain and replenish food serving stations, ensuring they are consistently stocked with fresh and appealing items. Contribute to the efficient breakdown and cleaning of work stations at the end of each shift, ensuring a clean and organized environment for the next service. Demonstrate flexibility by willingly rotating through different positions, including assisting in the dish room, to support the overall dining operations. Respect the diverse backgrounds and cultures of our students and guests, creating an inclusive and welcoming dining environment. Performs other duties as assigned.Experience and Skills:
