•Overview•We are looking for a professional, high-energy server with excellent communication skills to serve beverages and meals to our customers here at Tiffani's Breakfast & Lunch Cafe. You will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests. That means you will be responsible for greeting patrons, answering product questions, and serving orders with a good attitude. You will upsell items, use proper equipment and ingredients, and perform shift duties such as cleaning and restocking. As a Server, If you have a passion for the food industry, excellent math and customer service skills, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you. Your success is dependent upon a neat appearance, maintaining an engaging and friendly personality, and your ability to be efficient on your own and more importantly as part of a team. •Duties•1) Welcoming customers upon their arrival, making recommendations, answering questions, and serving orders in a polite and timely fashion. 2) Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently while also making sure to mention any new possible beverages or menu items as well as specials. 3) Serve food and beverages to guests with attention to detail and presentation 4) Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations. 5) Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in regularly and addressing any issues promptly 6) Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and communicate with your customers about things that may clarify why the wait seems longer, etc. 7) Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons to keep the drawers properly balanced. 8) Maintaining a clean work and dining area including behind the checkout counter and in the waitress station. This includes taking out trash, cleaning tables, and wiping down surfaces. 9) Following open and closing procedures and fulfilling duties of each shift. •Requirements•1) Preferably has obtained their high school diploma but there is the ability to have an exemption based on special circumstances such as motivated students with work permits. 2) Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and possibly an occassional earlier morning based on if there is an event to prepare for. 3) Positive, engaging personality, and professional appearance along with strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally. 4) Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations 5) Basic math and technology skills. 6) Interpersonal and communication skills.
