In this role, you will deliver exceptional guest service by providing attentive, friendly, and efficient service to ensure every guest feels valued and satisfied. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will help create memorable moments for our guests, whether they're enjoying a casual meal or celebrating a special occasion. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment that reflects our commitment to excellence in the food industry. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your hospitality skills while working in a lively atmosphere that values teamwork and guest satisfaction. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and assist with menu selections based on their preferences and dietary needs Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems Clover POS ensuring timely delivery Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering and processing payments through POS systems like OpenTable or other platforms Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations by bussing tables and assisting with sanitation protocols Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure food safety standards are met and food is prepared correctly Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction Support host/hostess duties when needed by managing reservations, seating guests efficiently, and managing waitlists Skills Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse guests and handle guest relations professionally Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing Strong communication skills coupled with a positive attitude that energizes team members and enhances the guest experience Join us as a Server, here at Golden Pancake Cafe! everyone is welcomed we look forward to helping you and making a great family!
