Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Present menus confidently, highlighting specials and wine pairings, and answer questions about ingredients or preparation methods. Take accurate food and beverage orders using advanced POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery. Upsell menu items and beverages to enhance guest experience and maximize sales opportunities while maintaining integrity. Serve food and drinks with precision, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards. Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal, promptly addressing any concerns or special requests to exceed expectations. Clear tables efficiently, bus dishes promptly, and maintain cleanliness in the dining area to uphold sanitation standards. Collaborate seamlessly with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours. Handle cash transactions accurately through POS systems like OpenTable or cashiering tools, balancing cash drawers at shift end. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of food handling procedures, sanitation protocols, and restaurant policies to ensure safety compliance. Experience Prior fine dining server experience is essential; familiarity with upscale restaurant environments is highly preferred. Proven ability to manage multiple tables efficiently while delivering attentive customer service. Experience using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; knowledge of OpenTable reservations system is a plus. Strong background in food industry standards including food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques. Excellent communication skills paired with a friendly demeanor that fosters guest relations and guest services excellence. Ability to perform basic math accurately for billing purposes and cash handling responsibilities. Previous experience in hospitality roles such as host/hostess or bartender is advantageous but not required; a passion for culinary arts is valued.
