Expeditor/Food Runner

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their orders promptly and accurately, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires a keen attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a passion for customer service. Duties Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area efficiently and accurately. Ensure that all orders are complete and presented beautifully before serving to guests. Assist servers in managing table settings and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to coordinate timely service. Monitor food safety standards and ensure proper food handling practices are followed at all times. Help maintain organization in the kitchen and dining areas during busy service periods. Assist with banquet setups and breakdowns as needed, ensuring a smooth operation for events. Skills Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential. Experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred, with familiarity in banquet service being a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when necessary. Basic culinary knowledge is beneficial, particularly understanding various food items and their presentation. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate smooth interactions with staff and guests. A proactive approach to problem-solving, helping to ensure guest satisfaction at all times.
