This is a fun and low key job. Pay is negotiable for the correct candidate. Great tips are included in this job. Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server/Cashier to join our team. This role combines excellent customer service with food handling and sales skills in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and the ability to manage time effectively while ensuring customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately. Handle cash transactions efficiently using a cash register or POS system. Ensure food safety and proper handling of food items according to health regulations. Assist in the kitchen as needed, including food preparation and maintaining cleanliness. Provide knowledgeable recommendations to customers regarding menu items and specials. Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during peak hours. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including dining and kitchen spaces. Collaborate with team members to enhance the overall dining experience for guests. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or a grocery store environment is preferred. Knowledge of food handling and safety practices is essential. Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively. Familiarity with cash registers and POS systems is a plus. Excellent time management skills to handle busy shifts efficiently. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. Culinary skills or experience in a kitchen setting are advantageous but not required.
