Responsibilities Warmly greet guests upon arrival, manage reservations, and seat guests efficiently to optimize flow. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with the kitchen and bar staff. Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and guest satisfaction. Assist guests with menu recommendations, answer questions about ingredients or specials, and provide personalized service to enhance their experience. Handle guest inquiries over the phone with professionalism and courtesy, managing reservations and general questions with excellent phone etiquette. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including cleaning tables quickly after guests leave. Collaborate seamlessly with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations and guest relations. Qualifications Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment preferred. Food service experience demonstrating strong customer service skills. Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Square or similar systems. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with guests and team members. Experience working in hospitality settings like hotels or restaurants is a plus. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
