Red Door servers undergo continuous training to deepen their knowledge of food, beverage, and hospitality. Your Role at Red Door Woodfired Grill At Red Door Woodfired Grill, the Server is at the heart of the guest experience—combining knowledge, personality, and genuine hospitality to create memorable moments every shift. Our servers are more than order-takers; they are storytellers, ambassadors of our brand, and curators of the neighborhood dining experience that makes Red Door The Best Little Upscale Neighborhood Joint. A Red Door server embodies warmth, confidence, and a genuine sense of attentiveness. They anticipate needs before they're spoken, deliver exceptional food and beverage experiences, and ensure that every guest leaves happier than when they arrived.
YOUR IMPACT AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver an exceptional guest experience with every interaction—warmly welcoming, anticipating needs, and ensuring guests feel valued throughout their visit. Present the menu with enthusiasm and knowledge, highlighting chef features, drink specials, and any current promotions. Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring clarity and attention to special requests, allergies, or modifications. Possess thorough menu knowledge, including ingredients, preparation methods, and recommended pairings. Effectively communicate with culinary and bar teams to ensure precision and timing of service. Manage the pacing of each table to balance comfort, flow, and volume demands. Ensure proper setup, cleanliness, and organization of tables and sections before, during, and after service. Handle all payment transactions accurately and responsibly, including cash handling, credit card processing, and gift card transactions. Support fellow team members by pre-bussing, running food, and assisting as needed to maintain Red Door's high service standards. Maintain awareness of the entire dining room by anticipating needs, reading guest cues, and assisting proactively. Uphold all Red Door standards of professionalism, appearance, and hospitality—always representing the spirit of Leave your troubles at the door.QUALIFICATIONS
What Success Looks Like Guests are greeted promptly and genuinely, and leave feeling cared for and appreciated. Every guest understands and appreciates the Red Door's specials, features, and menu highlights. Orders are delivered accurately, promptly, and beautifully presented. The guest pacing feels effortless, creating a relaxed yet elevated dining rhythm. The server station and section remain clean, stocked, and always organized. Communication between servers, hosts, bartenders, and the kitchen is seamless. Guests depart eager to return because of the connection and care they experienced. Qualities that Shine Here Warm, engaging, and confident communicator. Professional and calm under pressure with a team-first mentality. Genuine passion for food, beverage, and hospitality. Organized, detail-oriented, and committed to excellence. Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong sense of accountability. Required Skills Must be at least 18 years of age. Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods. Ability to carry trays, plates, and beverages safely and confidently. Prior serving experience preferred; however, a sincere commitment to hospitality and learning is essential. Must maintain current alcohol service certification per state or local requirements.
