Duties Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements, providing a welcoming first impression. Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted. Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards. Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales. Manage cash handling responsibilities, including cashiering and processing payments accurately. Maintain cleanliness of tables, bussing dishes promptly, and ensuring the dining area remains inviting. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting overall restaurant operations. Use reservation platforms like OpenTable to manage bookings smoothly and optimize guest flow. Provide exceptional guest services by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and fostering positive guest relations. Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation guidelines to uphold health standards at all times. Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining or nightclub settings. Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that enhances guest experiences. Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining professionalism. Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours. Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and transaction accuracy. Experience with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Familiarity with reservation systems like OpenTable is a plus. Previous host/hostess or bussing experience is beneficial for seamless team collaboration. Knowledge of the food industry's best practices in serving, food preparation support, and guest relations.
