Duties Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities Maintain thorough knowledge of menu offerings, including food preparation details and wine pairings Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities, while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards Assist with food handling, serving, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure seamless operations Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to manage guest seating efficiently and optimize table turnover Qualifications Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, with a strong background in serving or hosting roles Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus Demonstrated culinary knowledge and food industry experience, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy service hours Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build guest relations and handle guest inquiries professionally Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and quick calculations during service Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends; previous host/hostess experience is advantageous Embark on a rewarding journey in hospitality where your enthusiasm makes every guest feel valued!
