Job Description

The Archdiocese of St. Louis strives to teach and share our faith, serve others, and foster unity throughout the St. Louis area. Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis. Job Summary The Part-Time Dishwasher/Server at Regina Cleri Community supports daily dining operations by providing a clean, welcoming, and efficient mealtime experience for retired Catholic priests. This role assists with food preparation, meal service, and kitchen sanitation while ensuring residents are served with compassion, respect, and attention to detail in a mission-driven environment. Job Responsibilities Assist with meal service, including serving food and supporting residents in the dining room Prepare cold bar items and assist with basic food preparation as needed Wash dishes and maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment on a rotating schedule Ensure the kitchen and dining areas remain clean, safe, and well-organized Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times Provide courteous, patient, and respectful service to residents Support overall dining room operations to ensure high-quality food and service Collaborate with the executive chef, kitchen staff, and administration Maintain a welcoming and comfortable dining environment Job Qualifications Minimum age of 21 years required Prior food service or food preparation experience preferred Food Handler Certification a plus Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and basic culinary practices Ability to follow instructions, recipes, and work independently Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods Flexible schedule with availability for varying shifts Compassionate and respectful demeanor when interacting with retired priests Ability to provide excellent customer service and work collaboratively with staff The Archdiocese of St. Louis is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
