Expeditor / Food Runner YUME Sushi | Ramen | Bar - 1.0 Charlotte, NC Job Details Part-time | Full-time $14 - $18 an hour 8 hours ago Benefits Employee discount Qualifications Serving Kitchen health and safety standards Food service health code compliance Team leadership Operations coordination High school diploma or GED Food safety sanitizing procedures Managing food service teams Task assignment Restaurant experience Food preparation equipment operation Negotiation Food Handler Certification Full Job Description YUME Ramen Sushi & Bar is looking for a suitable candidate(s) to perform the following tasks: Expeditor / Food Runner Hard working; always think ahead / prepare about your tasks when clocked in Ensure the efficient flow of orders from the servers to the kitchen Ensure orders are being prepared with the correct priority Assist in the final preparation of dishes Check dishes before delivery for accuracy, presentation and temperature Assign food runner(s) to correctly deliver orders to maintain fast service Eliminate obstacles in service, food preparation lines or dishwashing Inspect the premises according to quality and sanitation standards and assist in cleaning Transfer important information between the kitchen and the wait staff (e.g. when a customer has a particular request) Support other tasks as needed (e.g. telephone orders/ bussing / pre-bussing) Requirements Proven experience as food expeditor or other restaurant position Understanding of health and safety rules in a restaurant Dexterity in using kitchen equipment or utensils and carry heavy trays Well-organized and ability to lead and direct people Excellent communication and negotiation skills Outstanding coordination and multi-tasking abilities Great physical endurance Clean, neat & tidy personality High school diploma; Higher degree in hospitality or relevant field will be appreciated Food handling certification will be an advantage.
