JOB SUMMARY
Provide excellent service to restaurant guests.
JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ø Greet guests; provide guests with menus Ø Take guests' food and beverage orders; give orders to kitchen personnel Ø Return to tables regularly to ensure satisfaction and suggest additional items, such as desserts Ø Deliver checks, handle cash, and comp check transactions Ø Two-minute table turn times Ø Build relationships with guests Ø Ensure service recovery activities Ø Delight our guests with outstanding service Ø Exhibit sound decision-making with emphasis on motivating the team and maintaining high morale Ø Participative member of the team by volunteering and being involved with projects, committees, and task forces, by providing input and suggestions Ø Take drink orders, communicate with the Bartender, and present drinks to guests Ø Handle money according to procedure Ø Complete pre-, running-, and post-shift side-work requirements Ø Maintain a neat, clean, organized, safe, and comfortable environment for our guests Ø Monitor guest consumption of alcohol and intervene as needed according to guidelines Ø Follow the guidelines of the EBCI liquor laws as defined by the Tribal ABC Board Ø Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner Ø Endorse the business objectives, ethics, and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision, and Values
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Ø A high school diploma or GED is required Ø Six months of food service experience is preferred Ø Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills: Ø Legible handwriting Ø Beverage and food service knowledge Ø Ability to carry food and beverages safely and professionally Ø Must be familiar with tray service Ø Ability to add, subtract, multiply, or divide quickly and correctly Ø Excellent guest service and communication skills are required Ø Must be able to complete cash and charge transactions Ø Willing to learn and be adaptable Ø Attention to detail/observant Ø Documented teamwork behaviors and attitudes Ø Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
Ø Must be able to carry and balance a food service tray Ø Must be able to attend to multiple priorities simultaneously Ø Must be able to be on feet for an 8-hour shift Ø Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds constantly Ø Must be able to possess the manual dexterity to grip necessary items (glasses, pens, garnishments, money, etc.) Ø Must be able to kneel, bend, stoop, and twist when serving food and beverages Ø Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grasp items Ø Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues Ø Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English Ø Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality, including secondhand smoke Ø Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, requirements, or working conditions associated with the job.
