Responsibilities Safely transport prepared dishes from the kitchen to guest tables, ensuring proper presentation and temperature. Assist with food preparation and plating when needed, supporting the culinary team in maintaining high standards. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers using clear and professional language to coordinate timely service. Handle food handling duties in compliance with food safety standards, including proper stacking, carrying, and serving techniques. Support restaurant operations by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and resetting tables efficiently for new guests. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process orders or assist with guest requests when necessary. Maintain cleanliness in service areas and ensure all food handling procedures adhere to health regulations. Experience Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is key! Familiarity with food handling, serving, and basic food preparation techniques enhances your ability to succeed in this role. Experience with POS systems like Aloha or Micros is a plus; strong communication skills are essential for coordinating with team members. Banquet or hotel experience can be advantageous but is not mandatory; a background in culinary or kitchen settings is beneficial.
