Job Summary Join the Bear Lake Reserve hospitality team as a Seasonal Server and help create exceptional dining and event experiences in a beautiful mountain-lake resort setting. In this guest-facing role, you'll provide attentive, friendly service in our dining outlets and during private events, ensuring every guest enjoys genuine Bear Lake hospitality. Key Responsibilities Greet and serve guests with professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail Take accurate food and beverage orders using Jonas POS, ensuring clear communication with the kitchen and bar teams Set up and deliver efficient and polished service during banquets and special events Present menu items knowledgeably and make recommendations to enhance the guest experience Maintain food handling, sanitation, and safety standards in all areas of service Process payments accurately Assist with table maintenance, bussing, and resetting dining areas to ensure smooth service flow Collaborate with team members to create a seamless, positive dining environment Qualifications Previous restaurant, resort, or banquet serving experience preferred Familiarity with Jonas POS or similar systems Excellent communication and guest service skills; professional and reliable demeanor Ability to multitask effectively in a high-volume environment Working knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays throughout the resort's seasonal operations Essential duties require long periods of standing, walking and carrying Ability to lift objects 50lbs or more Seasonal availability required May through November Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and passion for hospitality Benefits 401(K) Health insurance Vision and Dental insurance Paid Time Off Employee Discounts and Privileges Employee Referral Program About Bear Lake Reserve Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina, Bear Lake Reserve is a private mountain-lake resort community offering relaxed luxury, outdoor adventure, and exceptional hospitality.
